Although I discovered that certain techniques were universal for the B2B market. What I found is that email communications were best sent as a text formatted email correspondence rather than in a flashy format.

My takeaway was that people are too bombarded with sales offers and quickly segment flashy content into a mental spam folder.

To get their guard down the reader must feel:

  • The email was meant just for them, accomplished by personalization techniques
  • Tell a story that resonates with them specifically
  • Use real communication language
